Uddandam Pullaiah Swamy
Founder & Director – Siri Institute of Painting
Sri Swamy, a native of Chirala, Andhra Pradesh, is a passionate artist and the founder of Siri Institute of Painting. After completing his B.A., he trained under the renowned artist Guru Sri Dasari Yanadi Rao, where he developed a strong foundation in traditional art.Though he secured a Central Government job in the NCC, his love for art inspired him to leave a secure career and dedicate his life to painting. With the unwavering support of his wife, Smt. Siva Kumari, he pursued his dream by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from JNTU College of Fine Arts with first-class distinction.In 1992, together they founded Siri Institute of Painting, with a vision to preserve Indian art and inspire future generations. Over the past three decades, Sri Swamy has trained thousands of students, nurturing creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for traditional and contemporary art.His life is a beautiful example of courage, dedication, and the belief that true passion can create a lasting legacy.

- Received a Silver Medal in All India NCC Camp, New Delhi as a NCC Cadet in 1988.
- Received Highly Commanded Certificate from Hyderabad Art Society in 1999.
- Received a Gold Medal from Matha Amritanandamayi, on her 50th Birthday Celebrations at All India Artists Camp, Kerala in 2000.
- Received an appreciation from Pondicherry Governor Sri Iaqbal Singh for Best Service of Teaching on Painting - August 2009.
- Received Konaseema Award from Amalapuram, A.P. in 2013.
- Received Best Painting Teacher Award from Sri Lalitha Cultural Association in 2014.

S Swamy’s artworks have been exhibited at several prestigious venues, including ICCR Kala Bhavan and Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. His commissioned works include portraits of Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Dr. N. T. Rama Rao, Swami Vivekananda for Raj Bhavan, Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and former Governor K. Rosaiah. He also created a portrait of Sri Rabindranath Tagore for Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad in 2010. In 2013, on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Andhra Mahila Sabha, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the Hon’ble President of India, received his portrait. Portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which is done by swamy is displayed at Bal Bhavan, and many of his artworks are part of private collections across India, the United States, and several other countries.
With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Swamy continues to inspire generations of artists through his commitment to artistic excellence, traditional values, and quality art education. His legacy is reflected not only in his acclaimed works but also in the thousands of students whose creative journeys began under his guidance.
